Who Was My Visitor This Morning?

Today I had a very special visitor, a kindred spirit and incredible artist for a short, short time. He was in town for his daughter’s college graduation and made time to visit me before departing. He has a long drive home ahead of him, about five hours or so from Chicago to St. Louis. Those are two clues that I’ve given you. Can you guess who he is? Such an honor! This morning I read that on May 22, 2012, the highest ranking Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu and his wife visited the Metropolitan Iakovos here in Chicago. My book or album, ECCLESIA, Greek Orthodox Churches of the Chicago Metropolis, was given as a gift to the Minister. It's such an honor my book was given to such a man. New Passion Revisited

An old passion rekindled. It just happened. I wasn't planning on it and that's what it makes so special this time. I've embraced photography and using it again. Upon the completion of my book, ECCLESIA, Greek Orthodox Churches of the Chicago Metropolis, my photography reached a crossroad. Greek Festival Time Again

It's that time again here in the Chicago land area where the temperatures have finally warmed up and everyone is feeling happy again. In a few short weeks it will be Greek festival season. With the many Greek churches in the area it's often difficult to decide which festival to attend. Some festivals are better than others, some have better food and some have more attractions.
